Pub quiz kit for bars and cafés - World
A fresh printable quiz every week: 5 rounds of 6 questions, a team answer sheet, a host sheet with answers and sources, and a guide for a 45-minute night. Every bar opening this page in the same ISO week gets the same quiz, so you can say "this week's City Quiz" on the poster.
Free for bars and cafés to print and use. No account, no ads.
How to run a 45-minute quiz
You need: this kit printed (one team answer sheet per team, one host sheet), pens, a way to be heard (microphone optional), a phone timer, and a small prize.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0:00 (4 min) | Welcome. Teams of up to 5, one sheet per team, no phones for answers. Say how scoring works: 1 point per correct answer, 30 points in total. |
| 0:04 (6 min) | Round 1. Read each question and its four options twice, then leave about 30 seconds. Teams tick one letter per question. After question 6, read the answers while teams swap sheets with the next table and mark them. |
| 0:10 (6 min) | Round 2, same rhythm. Announce the scores after the round if you like, or keep them secret until the end. |
| 0:16 (6 min) | Round 3. |
| 0:22 (3 min) | Break. Note each team's score on the scoreboard on the host sheet; this is when the bar sells drinks. |
| 0:25 (6 min) | Round 4. |
| 0:31 (6 min) | Round 5, the hardest questions are at the end of each round. |
| 0:37 (4 min) | Final tally while music plays. Check the added-up scores. |
| 0:41 (4 min) | Results from last place to first, prize, and a word about next week. Done by 0:45. |
- Ties: the team with the higher Round 5 score wins; if still tied, read the first question of next week's quiz (use "Next week (preview)") and the first correct answer wins.
- Disputes: the host's word is final. The host sheet lists a source for every answer; questions are built from public encyclopedia facts, so correct anything you know to be out of date.
- Make it friendly for people who come alone: invite single guests to join a table, or pair them up at the start. A quiz night is an easy way to meet people.
- Want more? Host from a TV with countdown and a live scoreboard for free at cityquiz.app, or use host mode with no phones: big questions, hand scoring, QR to play later.

Why only these kits? Single-city kits
Each kit needs enough questions to change from week to week. A single-city kit needs at least 30 questions in that city's pack; cities below 30 questions are combined into the World, Europe and Spain kits (one round per city when five or more cities are in the pool). City kits will appear here as the packs grow. Cities currently below 30 questions:
- Bologna (15)
- Cologne (15)
- Brisbane (15)
- Taipei (15)
- Porto (15)
- Lyon (15)
- Helsinki (15)
- Stockholm (15)
- Milan (15)
- Chicago (15)
- Munich (14)
- Zurich (15)
- Hamburg (15)
- Copenhagen (15)
